PROGRAM SUMMARY
Clinical trial enrollment continues to be one of the life science industry’s intractable problems, and the #1 cause of delays in clinical development. Traditional recruitment methods are no longer sufficient, and sponsors and study sites are actively seeking new ways and tools to recruit patients. This program will provide practical insights and solutions to the challenge of selecting a clinical trial patient recruitment strategy.
Is social media the answer to the challenge? Currently only 11% of all trials use social media to recruit patients. Besides social media, there is a diverse assortment of other new strategies and tactics to assist in identifying and enrolling patients, such as working with patient advocacy groups, data mining, automated matching programs to match patients with trials, and more.
Although there are many new tools available, however, they don’t all apply to every trial. Jim Kremidas, a national leader in patient recruitment, will talk about how to identify which approach is the best solution for your study. Matt Miller, an expert in digital marketing, will describe how to implement a strong social media campaign for trial recruitment that is focused on patient trust building and conversion.
